I welcome inquiries from motivated students and researchers interested in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics, quantum materials, electron-phonon interactions, and related topics.
I am happy to discuss possible Bachelor and Master thesis projects, as well as shorter research projects or internships.
Projects may start from topics covered in solid-state physics, such as electronic bands, phonons, semiconductors, magnetism, superconductivity, or defects, and can develop toward first-principles methods and materials for electronics, energy conversion, or quantum technologies.
Previous experience with ab initio calculations or high-performance computing is not required for introductory projects.
Prospective PhD students are welcome to contact me to discuss possible research directions. Available funded positions depend on current grants and fellowship calls, but I am happy to support strong candidates in applications to PhD scholarships and doctoral fellowship programs.
I also welcome inquiries from postdoctoral researchers interested in joining the team through competitive fellowships or other funding opportunities. Please get in touch well in advance of the relevant deadline so that we can discuss possible project ideas and prepare a strong application.
